Child and Adult Mental Health Services - CAMHS
Various teams at CAMHS are offering a number of supports. You can access their Neurodevelopmental Portal to gain help, advice and a host of ideas to support your young person.
Through their Facebook page, they are advertising a variety of training for parents/carers on resilience, anxiety, daily occupations and sensory processing.
They also have Peer Support groups running.
You will also find links to their podcast - CAMHS Conversations
These are really easy to listen to and will give you a wealth of information and ideas to support your young person.
We would encourage any parent/carer who has any concern about their young person to consider these supports.
Concerns around substance misuse?
Alcohol and drugs are a huge part of our culture in Scotland. Substance Misuse is a main themed topic we cover in PSE classes from S1-6. The links below are the three main support services we often refer a young person to if we feel they could do with some support. You can contact them yourself and they have lots of local up to date information on substance misuse.
